There are many excellent ceramic membrane products in the market. All these excellent products have some common characteristics:
On the contrary,there are also some not good ceramic membrane products which is only 1-3 years work life due to the bad chemical and physical stability.
One reason is that these membrane support material are not pure Al2O3 (over 99%). A simple method to distinguish them is to see the color of outside of the tube. White color is pure Al2O3 support, and color of support with mixture of TiO2 and Al2O3 will be yellow.
But even pure Al2O3 support can not ensure the excellent support body. The adhesive for sintering will also affect the quality of support body.To measure the mechanical strength after acid and alkali corrosion, we can find that good product will have a bending strength no less than 4000N.
